It was a modern and nice hotel in a nice area, very close to the river and the centre as well as the quayside. The room I booked was need updated especially the bathroom and available with excellent bed. Good value, loved this property and I would stay here again.

Quiet room, king size bed, view of river, walking distance of Baltic Centre, Quays, town centre (but lots of steps on way down to river so not perhaps for less mobile?) We were there at start of olympics, and bumped into the entire Swiss football team at the Sunday market, which was a memorable moment. Everything thing looked and smelled new! Walk in shower was nice. Staff very helpful, when our sunday paper went missing, they went out and got us another one later on in day. Wi fi was free. Good value through Booked.net, nicer than premier inn
Slight pain that you have to pay to park, as its close to centre, but only 5 pounds a day not too bad. If you were unlucky, you might end up with room next to 'hen do' - lots of these in the Toon, however thankfully we were at far end on 2nd floor, and didn't hear the 'where's Wally' group at all! Ask for quiet room? Ours was anyway...

We had a lovely stay on a family visit.
The location was marvellous, close to Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art. It was across the good area. The rooms were immaculate, with an electric kettle, central heating and an iron. Plenty of food for breakfast, which was brilliant to satisfy everyone.

I had a great experience! The king-size bed was incredibly comfortable, and the food was superb with great deals. The bathroom, however, did have a blocked sink, but I would definitely return!
